Who is this workshop suitable for?
Suitable for small and medium sized business owners who want a greater understanding of using Facebook and Instagram to promote their business. It also includes a Power Hour on Facebook and Instagram advertising.
Outline for the day
9:30 – 10:00: Welcoming tea or coffee on arrival with an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business to other attendees. (Free parking on site)
10 am: Introduction to Instagram with a quick run through of its main features.
Session 1: How to succeed on Instagram. In this session, I will cover how the platform works, who uses it and why and why you should prioritise it for your brand. You will learn how the algorithm works. Finally, I will teach you the right strategy to succeed on Instagram. You will come out of this session with simple tips you can implement right away and a clear understanding of how your strategy needs to evolve.
12 pm: Break for lunch. Healthy lunch platter provided by Goodness Grazers offering you the opportunity to refresh and network with other small business owners.
1pm: Session 2: How to succeed on Facebook.
39m people use Facebook in the UK. It’s without a doubt the most popular network across most age groups. However, with millions of Business Pages the home feed is crowded with brands all vying to get in front of users. So how do you manage to build relationships with your customers? In this session, I will cover how the platform works, who uses it and why and why you should prioritise it for your brand. You will learn how the algorithm works. Finally, I will teach you the right strategy to succeed on Facebook. You will come out of this session with simple tips you can implement right away and a clear understanding of how your strategy needs to evolve.
2pm: The Anatomy of the High Performing Ad led by Nicola Price.
With only 1-6% of your Facebook content being seen organically, there is no better way to reach them than with Facebook and Instagram advertising. This one-hour session is a great introduction for small businesses to this powerful and cost-effective advertising channel.
We will spend one hour focusing on what it takes to produce a High Performing Facebook Ad, including:
- A checklist on what you need to do before you even start producing ads.
- How to write copy that converts your social media user into a customer.
- What not to do when writing copy for your Facebook & Instagram Ads
- What successful ads can look like from some of the best brands!
I will take you through a takeaway checklist of what you need to have in place before you venture into Ads Manager. I will discuss the do’s and don’ts of producing a High Performing Ad for your business. We will look at examples of best practice, the different types of ad formats you can use and check out headlines, CTA buttons and even chat pixels!
